Concerts 2026

Figured I would start this to talk about concerts and live music.

The past few years now that Alex is older we have been doing a lot of concerts, highlights from the last 3 years:

• Metallica
• Foo Fighters
• The Offspring
• Ghost
• Pantera
• Buckethead

This year, has been pretty full already, with some cool shows coming up.

• Black Label Society
• Zakk Sabbath
• Dark Chapel
• Clutch
• Corrosion of Conformity
• Flying Frog Brigade
• The Claypool Lennon Delerium
• Primus
• Weird Al
• Down
• Helmet
• The Smashing Pumpkins

This might be a dumb question, but how is Buckethead in concert? His work is great, but I'm wondering how that schtick of his translates.

Not a dumb question. I have seen him twice. First time was back in the early 200's and he had a full band with him Brain from Primus on drums and I can't remember who the bass player was. It was fun but was pretty much a shredfest.

This time, he only had a drummer that doubled as a DJ. So they had some backing tracks and did some covers, like they did 2 Zeppelin and 3 Sabbath sounds where the drummer sang. They also did like some random 90's alternative songs, which were fun. But he did the nunchucks, crowd walk, etc. It was a lot of fun.

As far as people having fun on stage, the two that I will always recommend are Buckethead and Zakk Wylde. Zakk always seems like he is having a great time.
